When you need waterproofing, not a repair
If your leak is coming through a flat concrete surface — a car porch slab, a flat RC roof, a balcony, a reinforced-concrete gutter — there is no tile or sheet to fix. The waterproofing layer itself has failed, and the only fix is a new one. Signs: damp patches that spread over weeks rather than drip, efflorescence (white salt) on the ceiling below, hairline cracks in the slab that darken after rain.

Prices include surface preparation, primer and the manufacturer-specified coats. Badly cracked or ponding slabs need screed repair first, quoted separately.
What separates a coating that lasts from one that peels
- Preparation. The old failed membrane comes off. Pressure wash, grind loose material, fill cracks, let it dry fully. Coating over a dirty or damp slab is the reason cheap waterproofing peels in a year.
- Falls and drains. Water must leave the roof. We check the fall to the outlet and clear or enlarge drains before coating.
- Coats and thickness. Manufacturers specify a wet-film thickness. Two thin coats to save material is how a "10-year" system fails in three.
- Up-stands and corners. Every edge, parapet and pipe gets reinforcement fabric. Most failures are at a corner.

Common questions
How long does waterproofing take?
A typical car porch (200–400 sq ft) is prepared on day one and coated over day two and three, with drying time between coats. Weather matters: we don't coat if rain is due within the cure window.
Can you waterproof over the old coating?
Only if it is sound and well bonded, which is rarely the case once it's leaking. Coating over a failed membrane just moves the failure up one layer. We strip what's loose.
Does waterproofing come with a warranty?
Yes — the manufacturer's product warranty (typically 5–10 years depending on system) plus our workmanship warranty.
My bathroom leaks into the room below. Is that a roof job?
It's the same trade and the same materials, on the floor instead of the roof. We do bathroom and wet-area waterproofing too; ask when you call.
